Accident Investigation

The process of safety analysis is at the heart of the control of risks at the University. A systematic evaluation of the work place and/or other activities which identifies the hazards present and gives an estimate of the extent of the risks involved.

Five steps to Safety Analysis:

1. Identify the hazards
2. Decide who might be harmed and how
3. Evaluate the risks and decide on prevention measures
4. Record your findings and implement them
5. Review your assessment and update if necessary
